What Is the Procedure for a Single Dental Implant in Irving?
How the Single Implant Process Works
Your first consultation with Dr. Mounir Iskandar will let you see each and every step of what is included in the game plan and will be followed by diagnostic tests that include a cone beam CT scan. Using this diagnostic information, Dr. Iskandar will carefully plan your surgery, creating a surgical guide or stent to be used during the surgical procedure.
It doesn’t take very long to insert a single dental implant. Generally, it can be completed using just local anesthetic. If you would like additional anesthesia, please talk to our team at Radiance Dentistry, as we can supply additional sedation in the form of nitrous oxide or oral sedatives to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed during this procedure.
Once the implant has been inserted, you will be provided with a temporary tooth if needed, along with detailed instructions on how to care for the implant site until it fully heals and integrates with your jawbone. This will take approximately three months, after which time you can return to our dental office in Irving for your implant-supported crown to be made and fitted. Once in place, it’s easy to look after your new crown as you can simply brush and floss it just like your natural teeth.
